Description The Shiloh Shepherd comes in two varieties, smooth coat and plush. The Shiloh Shepherd was bred by a lady (that is unknown at this time), which has been breeding German Shepherd Dogs since the 1960's. Shiloh Shepherds require regular brushing to prevent matts or tangling, especially for the plush variety. Highly intelligent and eager to please, the Shiloh Shepherd however does require a dominant and firm owner. Dominance issues could arise if not properly handled. This breed does amazingly well in obedience. The Shiloh Shepherd does very well in obedience trials as well as agility if given the correct handling and training. The Shiloh Shepherd is a large breed that requires a lot of exercise to remain healthy and active. Shiloh Shepherds love long walks and should be given at least two per day.
